આજે દક્ષિણ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના દરિયા કાંઠે વરસાદની શરૂઆત થઈ ગઈ છે અને થોડીવારમાં વરસાદના વિસ્તારો વધશે અને અમુક વિસ્તારોમાં ભારે વરસાદની શરૂઆત થાય તેવી શક્યતા છે.
ધીમે ધીમે દક્ષિણ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના બાકીના વિસ્તારો, લાગુ મધ્ય પૂર્વ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, પશ્ચિમ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના ગીર સોમનાથ, જૂનાગઢ, રાજકોટ, અમરેલી, ભાવનગર, દ્વારકા અને પોરબંદર જિલ્લામાં પણ વરસાદની શરૂઆત થશે. ઘણા વિસ્તારોમાં સારો તો ક્યાંક ક્યાંક ભારે વરસાદની પણ શક્યતા છે.
ઉત્તર સૌરાષ્ટ્ર લાગુ પશ્ચિમ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના સુરેન્દ્રનગર, જામનગર, મોરબી અને બોટાદ જિલ્લામાં પણ વરસાદ ચાલુ થવાની શક્યતા રહેશે. ક્યાંક ક્યાંક સારો વરસાદ પણ આવી શકે છે.
મધ્ય પૂર્વ ગુજરાત અને દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના છૂટા છવાયા વિસ્તારોમાં સારા વરસાદની શક્યતા છે. ઉત્તર ગુજરાતમાં આજ સાંજ સુધીમાં સારા વરસાદની શરૂઆત થઈ શકે છે. જેમાં બનાસકાંઠા, સાબરકાંઠા, મેહસાણા, પાટણ, ગાંધીનગર અને અરવલ્લી જિલ્લાના વિસ્તારોમાં પણ વરસાદની સંભાવના છે.
તો બીજી બાજુ હવામાન ખાતાએ ગુજરાતના કેટલાક જિલ્લામાં ભારેથી અતિભારે વરસાદની આગાહી કરી છે. જેમાં સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના મોટા ભાગના જિલ્લાઓનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. આ વિસ્તારોના મોટા ભાગના જિલ્લાઓમાં વરસાદનું ઓરેંજ એલર્ટ અપાયું છે.
હવામાન ખાતાની આગાહી મુજબ આજે સૌરાષ્ટ્રના જુનાગઢ, ગીર સોમનાથ, અમરેલી, ભાવનગર અને બોટાદ જિલ્લામાં ભારેથી અતિભારે વરસાદની આગાહીના પગલે અહીં ઓરેંજ એલર્ટ અપાયું છે.

તો બાકીના સૌરાષ્ટ્રના જિલ્લાઓમાં રાજકોટ, જામનગર, દેવભુમિ દ્વારકા અને મોરબી જિલ્લામાં સામાન્યથી ભારે વરસાદની આગાહીના પગલે યલો એલર્ટ અપાયું છે.
દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત અને મધ્ય ગુજરાતના આણંદ, વડોદર, નર્મદા, છોટા ઉદેપુર, ભરૂચ, સુરત, તાપી, ડાંગ, નવસારી, વલસાડ, દમણ અને દાદરા નગર હવેલીમાં ભારેથી અતિભારે વરસાદની આગાહીના લીધે ઓરેંજ એલર્ટ આપવામાં આવ્યું છે.
આ સિવાય ઉત્તર ગુજરાતના બનાસકાંઠા અને સાબરકાંઠામાં પણ ભારેથી અતિભારે વરસાદની આગાહીના કારણે હવામાન ખાતા દ્વારા ઓરેંજ એલર્ટ આપવામાં આવ્યું છે.
આ સિવાય ઉત્તર ગુજરાત, મધ્ય ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ જિલ્લામાં હળવાથી મધ્યમ વરસાદને લીધે યલો એલર્ટ આપવામાં આવ્યું છે. જેમાં ખેડા, અરવલ્લી, મહિસાગર, દાહોદ, પંચમહાલ, ખેડા, અમદાવાદ, ગાંધીનગર, મહેસાણા, પાટણ અને કચ્છનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.

Today rain has started over the sea coast of South Saurashtra and in a few minutes the areas of rain will increase and heavy rain is likely to start in some areas.
Gradually rains will start in rest of South Saurashtra, Central East Saurashtra, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Dwarka and Porbandar districts of West Saurashtra. There is a possibility of good rain in many areas and heavy rain in some places.
Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Morbi and Botad districts of North Saurashtra and West Saurashtra are also likely to continue raining. There may also be good rain at some places.

There is a possibility of good rain in isolated areas of Central East Gujarat and South Gujarat. Good rains may start in North Gujarat by this evening. In which there is a possibility of rain in the areas of Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar and Aravalli districts.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in some districts of Gujarat. It includes most of the districts of Saurashtra and South Gujarat. Orange alert of rain has been given in most of the districts of these areas.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued today in Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Botad districts of Saurashtra following the forecast of heavy to very heavy rain.
In the remaining districts of Saurashtra, yellow alert has been given in Rajkot, Jamnagar, Devbhumi Dwarka and Morbi districts following the forecast of normal to heavy rain.
Orange alert has been issued in Anand, Vadodar, Narmada, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli of South Gujarat and Central Gujarat due to forecast of heavy to very heavy rain.
Apart from this, an orange alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department due to the forecast of heavy to very heavy rains in Banaskantha and Sabarkantha of North Gujarat.
Apart from this, yellow alert has been issued due to light to moderate rain in North Gujarat, Central Gujarat and Kutch districts. Which includes Kheda, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Dahod, Panchmahal, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Patan and Kutch.
